This is the second of four CSOVs Windward Offshore has contracted with VARD. With this vessel Windward Offshore takes the next important step in providing integrated offshore wind solutions for their clients and supporting the significant global need for offshore wind energy and energy. infrastructure.
Windward Paris is based on the well-received VARD 4 19 design, featuring battery hybrid technology and preparation for future operation on green methanol, designed for sustainable offshore windfarm support operations.
Windward Paris is 87.5-meter long with a beam of 19.5 meters.

Windward Offshore needed to expand their fleet of vessels for the wind market to achieve their goal of developing a robust portfolio of Commissioning Service Operation Vessels (CSOVs).
VARD's challenge was to tailor-make Windward Paris to support Windward Offshore in achieving their ambitions to provide reliable and innovative solutions for energy companies, committing to deliver comprehensive and innovative solutions to ensure sustainability.
To meet these needs VARD used the VARD 4 19 design and developed it together with Windward Offshore featuring battery hybrid technology and preparation for future operation on green methanol, designed for sustainable offshore windfarm support operations.
Windward Paris is delivered with cyber notation according to the mandatory regulations.
All of our vessels contracted with VARD are designed to be equipped with the latest eco-friendly technologies with the goal of minimizing environmental impact and offering the highest safety standards to ensure safe and sustainable offshore operations.

The vessel was charted fairly in advance and went straight into operation after delivery to support an offshore farm in the German Bight.

She is equipped with a height-adjustable motion-compensated gangway with elevator system, and a height-adjustable boat landing system.
Delivered before schedule
Windward Paris was delivered one week before contractual delivery date. The first CSOV delivered to Windward Offshore, Windward Athens was delivered on time

The VARD 4 19 design was adapted and developed in accordance with Windward Offshore's and their customer's needs.
To achieve energy-efficient and smart operations at sea, with the goal of reducing fuel consumption, Windward Paris is outfitted with a comprehensive SeaQ package from Vard Electro that includes systems and solutions for Power, Control, Bridge, and Communication. Vard Interiors is delivering HVAC-R and interior concepts. The vessel is also prepared for future operation on green methanol.
Windward Paris has accommodation for 120 persons on board.
The hull was built at Vard Shipyards Romania - Tulcea, and she is outfitted, commissioned, tested and delivered from Vard Brattvaag in Norway.

Developed by Vard Design in Ålesund, Norway, the VARD 4 19 is a highly versatile platform for all wind support operations.
The ability to accommodate more technicians and a larger crane makes the vessel suitable for installation phase as well.

Vard Interiors has delivered HVAC-R, piping systems and modern interior solutions designed to create environments that are both functional and conducive to individual well-being and productivity aboard the vessel.
Seaonics has delivered an 5T@25m Electric Controlled Motion Compensated (ECMC) C25 3D Crane designed for offshore wind operations. It features a fully electrical controlled motion compensation system, ensuring smooth and precise movements even in challenging conditions.
