The VARD 3 08 is designed with focus on low fuel consumption and precautions in accordance with DNV’s Clean (Design) requirements are incorporated into the vessel design. With its optimized hull form and a bow shape optimized for most weather conditions, together with a carefully planned propulsion setup, the vessel will have particularly good sea keeping abilities, station keeping performance as well as being able to operate in high speeds. The vessel is designed with redundancy according to DNV DYNPOS-AUTR requirements and with its optimized hull shape and well proven moonpool design the vessel offers excellent performance and operability even in harsh conditions considering its moderate size.
