Cable Laying Vessel (CLV) for NCT Offshore.

The vessel is designed and built for NCT Offshore, tailor-made for worldwide services, support, and maintenance operations at offshore wind farms. It is based on the VARD 9 01 design, developed by Vard Design in Ålesund, Norway, and serves as a highly versatile platform for offshore wind farm support operations. The design prioritizes onboard logistics, security, comfort, and superior operability, making it well-equipped for construction, operation, and maintenance phases of offshore wind farms.
With a length of approximately 95 meters and a beam of about 21.5 meters, the vessel is equipped with advanced cable installation equipment, including cable carousels capable of handling a total of 4,500 tons of cables. It features state-of-the-art DP2 positioning and seakeeping systems, ensuring high precision and stability during operations. The vessel also boasts a bollard pull in excess of 60 tons and a maximum transit speed exceeding 14 knots. A hybrid package enhances efficiency and sustainability, while the onboard accommodation consists of single cabins for 60 persons.
The hull was built at Vard Shipyards Tulcea in Romania, while outfitting and finalization took place at Vard Langsten in Norway.
