Veidar delivered and is back at sea after major rebuild
Longliner Veidar is back at sea after an extensive rebuild at Vard Søviknes following the fire that took place on board last winter. Next stop is the Barents Sea, fishing haddock and cod, something shipowner Sindre Johan Dyb looks forward to. – Finally, Veidar is back where it belongs.

VARD wins new North Star contract for an additional SOV to operate on Dogger Bank Wind Farm
VARD is pleased to announce that it has secured a new contract for the design and construction of one Service Operation Vessel (SOV) for North Star Group in the UK. The vessel of VARD 4 12 design will be the fourth SOV to be delivered from VARD to North Star for operation on the Dogger Bank Wind Farm in the North Sea.

The project Ocean Charger, owned by Vard Design receives 38,3 million NOK and Sea Zero, project owner Hurtigruten, receives over 67 million NOK from the Norwegian Government.

VARD signs contracts with Norwind Offshore
VARD is delighted to announce contracts of the design and construction of two Commissioning Service Operations Vessels (CSOVs) with options for two additional vessels, and the sales and conversion of one Platform Supply Vessel to be converted to a Service Operation Vessel (SOV) for Norwind Offshore in Ålesund, Norway. The contracts for the firm three vessels have an indicative total value of NOK 1.4 billion.
New yard director at Vard Brattvaag
Arnt Inge Gjerde has been appointed as the new yard director at Vard Brattvaag. Arnt Inge is also yard director at Vard Søviknes and are now leading both shipyards.
VARD secures contract for one cable laying vessel for Prysmian Group
