Internship – a valuable experience
Elias Bakke is a student at NTNU well underway with his master`s degree in Marine Technology, with a specialization in Cybernetics. The desire to challenge himself with real work tasks led him to a summer internship in Vard Design in 2023. - I was offered several different, concrete, and exciting tasks that were both relevant and challenging, Elias says. When the summer came to an end he chose to stay in VARD as an intern alongside with his studies.
VARD signs a contract for two additional hybrid Commissioning Service Operation Vessels with Windward Offshore
VARD and Windward Offshore, a consortium led by ASSC´s offshore arm SeaRenergy Group in Germany are pleased to announce that they have signed a contract for the design and construction for two additional hybrid Commissioning Service Operation Vessels (CSOV). With this contract, Windward executes the options included in the initial two vessel contract signed in October 2023.
North Star contracts VARD for up to four new offshore wind farm commissioning vessels
VARD is pleased to announce that it has signed new contracts for the design and construction of two commissioning service operation vessels (CSOVs) for the UK’s leading infrastructure support vessel operator North Star. The agreement also has an option for two additional ships, which could ultimately create a total of up to 200 new seafaring job opportunities across the CSOV fleet once operational.
