What we did

At Vard Langsten, the project was executed through close coordination across disciplines, drawing on the yard’s multidisciplinary competence and ability to handle complex upgrades within a limited timeframe. The scope included an ROV/LARS upgrade with installation of a new Ulmatec system and electrical integration, a main engine overhaul performed by Wärtsilä with VARD support, and full surface treatment with repainting in DOF’s colours.

In addition, extensive repair and maintenance work was carried out across interior areas, piping, and electrical systems, including further upgrades identified during the yard stay. Through efficient planning, strong execution, and optimal use of yard capacity, the project was delivered safely and within the required timeframe.

This project was a very good fit for us, and a project we are well suited to deliver. It allowed us to utilize our multidisciplinary competence and deliver efficiently within a tight timeframe.
